On Monday night, May 18, we had the sixth and last home meeting with our church friends and neighbors. We had a good attendance each time and are overwhelmed with God's Blessings that He chose to send these neighbors and friends to our home. There were eight neighbors, all single (mostly widowed) and nine church friends. Joe and Becky Pickle helped us with the hosting. We served a meal the last meeting, visited, watched the last video and the clip as Kerry shared and prayed the plan of salvation. Only God knows if hearts were touched, and we pray they were. Our church friends and neighbors learned to know about each other and we had great fellowship and I know especially those single persons enjoyed having weekly interaction with others. Charles and I plan to occasionally have the group in a fellowship gathering. We love and appreciate all the ones that participated in our home.

We had five, yes, FIVE, visitors in our LIFE class Sunday, May 17. And one of them joined the class even before the class started! She had visited the Challenge Group the previous Friday and decided to visit Koinonia. So when she came in, she was filling out the visitor card & said, "I think I'll just go ahead & join." She also brought TWO friends with her. Another visitor is a co-worker of one of our members who has been attending our Challenge group from the beginning, and she finally decided to visit the class. Just from attending the Challenge group, she is tentatively planning to move her membership to FBCD. A sixth lady visited us on Easter & joined our class after 2 Sundays. ALL of these six visitors came as a result of the OMTL study. Each had heard about it from someone else & decided to participate. God has really been busy!

The group that met at our house was small, but we have had wonderful sharing around our kitchen table over food after the sessions. After one session a lady who is a member of church got very emotional and shared the sadness of a broken relationship with her daughter who lives in town. The end result is that not only was she not seeing her daughter, but she was not able to see her grandchildren. Her sharing opened the group to share two other situations where there were relationship issues. We prayed fervently for her. The very next morning her daughter called her, and then called twice more that day. There has since been time spent together and time with the grandchildren as well. She rejoiced in sharing this answer to prayer! On at least one of the other items shared the same night, there has since been a clear answer to pray. So, the size of the group did not limit God's working–in fact it may have even enhanced it because the sharing was so intimate.
