Cliff came to First Baptist Church Denton in May 1989. He pastored for 19 years and served as Associate Pastor/Administrator at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, Texas for 12 years. He serves our church family as Minister to Adults 55 Plus. Cliff has an Associate in Arts Degree from Southwestern Baptist College in Bolivar, MO, a Bachelor Degree from Baylor University and a Master of Religious Education Degree from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary.

He and his wife, Joan were married in April 1953. They have two married children. Wes & Karen Feeler live in Midlothian, TX with their two teenage sons, Clint & Mason. Wes owns his own business, Letter-It, in Irving. Deborah & Michael Thomas live in Irving where Deborah has taught school for 27 years.   By the way, Joan retired as Minister to Preschoolers at FBCD after 11 years and then retired the second time after serving as Preschool & Children’s Minister at FBC of Flower Mound, TX for five years.

Joan and I enjoy traveling and have been fortunate to have visited the Holy Land five times. Our Adults 55 Plus enjoy traveling whether it is one or 2 days or more days.  We have enjoyed trips to Western Canada, England-Scotland-Wales, Greece-Egypt-Turkey, the Mediterranean area, Holland-Belgium, Alaska and the Panama Canal. On our recent trip to the Baltic Sea (2007), we visited several capitals in that area.  We are considering a cruise to the islands of Hawaii December 26, 2009 – January 3, 2010.  Naturally, we include a trip to Branson, Missouri about every year. We also enjoy doing family things with our children and grandchildren and taking lots of pictures of these occasions.

The 23rd Psalm relates the characteristics of a sheep to each of us, the sheep of God’s pasture. I receive a lot of inspiration from this Psalm, realizing God knows and meets my needs and watches over all of us.
